What Are Hatch Patterns?
Hatch patterns add visual clarity to a drawing to create distinction between various elements on a Drawing Page. We’ll cover how to create and use Hatch Patterns and why they are important to your drawings.

What are Assembly Sheet Templates and Wall Elevations?
Assembly Sheet Templates are page templates which can be used to automatically provide details about Assemblies, Parts, Room and Job on an assembly by assembly basis. Wall Elevation Templates are very similar to Assembly Sheets with the exception that they are a wall by wall basis and do not include part information.

Understanding Scene Templates
Scene Templates are a new feature in Solid 5.0 and offer a dramatic concept to enable you to quickly provide drawing information when using the; ‘To Drawing‘ feature in Solid. Scene Templates can be used for a very wide range of practical applications as you’ll see in this session.

What are CAD Layers?
CAD Layers are used in CAD mode to allow you to easily distinguish between the various objects in the Drawing.

How to use CAD Layers
CAD Layers can be used in a variety of ways. Examples in this section will include Detail Drawings and Trade Drawings (drawings produced for electrical or plumbing trades).

You are not limited to only the standard CAD Layers used in Solid but you can create your own CAD Layers to meet your specific needs.
