Adding Additional Parts to Optimized Sheet

Q. When optimizing my sheet goods for processing, I sometimes need extra parts.  Can I add them without going back to the job and adding another object?
 
A.  Yes.  Individual parts (without operations) can be added prior to Optimizing.

1)  Start a new job and place a cabinet on a Wall.  Go to the S2M Center.
2)  At the top left, select the Edit Mode icon and choose the Material List.



3)  Click on the field next to the Red Arrow and select which Material you want to use.



4)  Go back to the Edit Mode icon and choose the Part List. 



5)  Next to the Red Arrow, select the Material you previously chose.



6)  Now give the part a name, dimensions, and quantity.



7)  Optimize the parts and you will see these extra parts are now available.
